What you’ll need:

  • Printer & paper
  • Scissors

Measure your ring size with these steps:

  1. Print the Ring Sizer & Conversion Chart. Make sure to set page scaling to “100%” in your print settings and use standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper.
  2. Follow the instructions to cut out the ring sizer and the small slit.
  3. Wrap the paper sizer snugly around the base of the finger you’re measuring. Make sure the numbers are visible, then insert the pointed end through the slit.
  4. The number that aligns with the slit is your ring size! If your measurement falls between whole and half sizes, keep in mind that quarter sizes are also available.

Average Ring Sizes for Women and Men

Women’s ring sizes typically range from 3 to 9, with sizes 5 to 7 being the most common—size 6 is the most popular. Men’s ring sizes usually fall between 6 and 13, with sizes 8 to 10.5 being the most purchased—size 9 is the most popular. These standard sizes can help guide you, but if you need a different size, contact our experts for a special order.

Average Ring Sizes for Women and Men

A properly fitting ring should slide over your knuckle with little resistance and rest comfortably on your finger without feeling too tight. It should be secure but still easy to remove with light effort.

What To Do If Your Ring Size Falls Between Two Sizes

If you’re between ring sizes, we recommend sizing up rather than down. Finger size can change throughout the day, and a ring that’s too tight may be difficult and uncomfortable to remove. If your ring feels slightly loose, there are easy at-home ways to adjust the fit, but increasing the size requires professional help. If a half size isn’t quite right, contact us—we can create a custom quarter size to ensure the perfect fit

Ring Size Tips

  • The fingers on your dominant hand are usually larger – measure the hand you plan to wear the ring on.
  • When the knuckle is bigger than the base of the finger, measure both places and pick a size in between the two.
  • Keep the ring design in mind when choosing a size. Wider bands feel tighter on the finger, so it’s best to go up at least half a size for rings over 4mm. For very thin bands under 1.3mm, consider sizing down for a better fit. Remember that ring sizes are typically measured in millimeters (mm), not inches.
  • Fingers tend to shrink in the morning and cold weather. They also change size throughout the day based on diet and hydration – the best time to measure your finger is in the middle or at the end of the day when it is warm.
  • Measure 3 to 4 times for more accuracy.
